STRF
TL;DR: Battle your way through one of the (evil) empire's supply base and face the general Glorbon in EPIC battle!
This game was made for the GDN-23 Big Festive Game Jam! #GDNJam
The web version of this game runs best on Chrome!
If you ever get stuck or need some guidance, feel free to watch the gameplay walkthrough video.
Summary:
You are a rebel operative sent to infiltrate and destroy a supply line of the evil empire. You are equipped with a GDN-23 mech suit and an STRF blaster. Fight your way through the enemy base, avoid perilous traps, enter the "Big Bad Evil Lair", and defeat Glorbon once and for all.
Unique Selling Points:
- Face the villainous Glorbon in "epic" battle and save the galaxy from the horrors of the evil empire!
- Shoot barrels to blow your enemies up! Mow down your enemies with your really cool STRF blaster!
- Use the enemy mechanics to help you progress through the levels (They didn't intend for you to use them this way)!
- Exploit the physics system to cause the developers grief!
- If you care for the lives of your foes, you can also try (as painful as it may be) to complete the game without killing anything! Except Glorbon. Glorbon. Must. Die.
Controls:
- LMB to Shoot
- RMB to Aim
- R to Reload
- Left Shift to Sprint
- Space to Jump
- Mouse Wheel Up/Down to Adjust Sensitivity
- L to Return to Level Select(This resets your stats)
Notes:
- It may happen that you get stuck because of bugs, if that happens you can press L to return to level select (but that resets your stats!).
- Performance isn't great on WebGL and a lot of the graphics had to be turned down to make it run smoothly*. I recommend playing the PC version if you enjoy the game!
- The game is slightly on the larger side, so it may take a little longer than other games to download, so be patient please :)
- Our initial pitch was centered around the game Strafe (2017), but that's about all we take from them (I think!)
- If you notice any bugs/"unintended interactions" then please leave a comment for the developers!
*Your audio may stutter occasionally during more graphically demanding parts of the game.

The plot is sort of funny, and there are some props owed for balancing performance with graphics, the idea of no real HP but instead Player hits is unique and is setting the game up to very easily be enjoyable, but the gameplay is just not very good.
Everything feels awkward, killing feels like you're standing there or strafing and trying to kill rocks that occasionally shoot, and the platforming feels like you're trying to maneuver a hard cold stick of butter with wings.
It's not a bad game, not even close, but it just doesn't play very well, though I do know that these are simple critiques, and that if they were fixed, I'd love this game someday, a full version born out of 7DFPS.
I genuinely wish I could afford it more, but it's a 3.7/5.
Best of luck, cheers!
Thanks for playing our game! I always appreciate feedback and will definitely keep these ideas in mind when working on my next FPS/TPS!
